Martinez & Sordo, P.A. is a South Florida based law firm providing a wide range of interdisciplinary services to its clients throughout the United States, Europe and Latin America, including immigration services, civil and commercial litigation and criminal defense. The firm was established in 2006, and has in a remarkably short time achieved incredible success for its clients including private individuals, employment recruiters and businesses of all sizes in the travel and tourism industry.
MANAGING pARTNER
Emilio Martinez
Emilio Martinez is a highly accomplished immigration attorney with over seven years of practice experience in South Florida. Martinez obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami and later earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership, from Florida International University. Martinez began his career as a high school educator for Miami-Dade County Public Schools where he taught English and Journalism for seven years while he earned his degrees.
After leaving the school system, Martinez was a firm administrator at a leading Miami immigration firm where he managed the firm and maintained an ambitious caseload.
Martinez has made noteworthy appearances on various media outlets and prepared contributing articles to Radio Caracol, Radiomega, Radio Global, El Diario, Immigration Magazine, and TeleRevista. Born in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents, Martinez is proud of his work with immigrants seeking the American dream. Martinez is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is happily married to his business partner, Blanca R. Sordo. In his time off, Martinez enjoys spending quality time with his two young children, attending concerts and traveling.

Blanca Sordo
Blanca Sordo graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami, School of Law. For the past 13 years, Sordo has dedicated herself to the practice of law with an emphasis on labor & employment law and the preparation and enforcement of contracts. Sordo began her career in 1995 as a paralegal rising through the ranks to become a partner at The Law Offices of Goldstein & Sordo. Sordo joins Martinez & Sordo as a partner and concentrates her efforts on the expansion of the firm’s civil litigation practice.
When she is not practicing law, Sordo keeps busy spending time with her family, volunteering for her son’s PTA and travelling with husband Emilio.
